Homeschool Proms Slated for Spring PDF Print E-mail

Typically four homeschool proms are scheduled for February through May around the state. However, due to the pandemic, many have had to cancel or reschedule for later in the summer. Contact the organizers directly for updated information.

Gadsden Prom
Hosted by Pathways Academy, this prom is usually the first of the season in late February. Open to all homeschoolers, it is usually held at a venue in Gadsden. Go to the web site at http://pathways-academy.org/ for contact information.

Tri-County Homeschool Prom
The Tri-County Homeschool Prom (for Montgomery, Elmore and Autauga Counties) will be held Friday, March 19, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Eclecic Warehouse (45 Main Street in Eclectic)

The Tri-County Homeschool Prom is open to all homeschoolers grades 9-12 regardless of cover school. The theme is "Arabian Nights."

Tickets must be purchased in advance online. If you do not have a ticket purchased in advance, admittance to the prom will not be permitted. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

T-shirts will be available to order in advance. These will be given out at the prom as students check in.

Huntsville Homeschool Prom
The Huntsville Homeschool Prom will be Saturday, April 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Roundhouse (398 Monroe Street NW, Huntsville 35801). The theme this year is “Moonlight and Myths.”

Be sure to buy your ticket early as they usually sell out; plus, tickets will not be sold at the door.

Homeschool students have attended the Huntsville Homeschool Prom from as far away as Mobile, Tennessee, and Georgia. Their last six years of proms sold out!

Birmingham Prom
The last prom of the season is usually the Birmingham Prom in early May at Gabrella Manor (8912 Fourth Avenue South) in Birmingham. It is open to any homeschooled teen 9th grade and up and a date; the date does not have to be homeschooled. Many kids come in groups or by themselves and that is fine too.
