Congratulations to the 2013 Graduates PDF Print E-mail

Finishing their homeschool studies for 2013 are Outlook Academy students Danielle Alyssa Boyd, Michael A. Claflin, Kelsey Ford, Elizabeth Anne Jackson, David Kyle Lambert, Austin Lee, William Lewandowski, Kyle Mercer, Samantha J. Merritt, Jason Murphy, Nicholas Oldham, Sarah Perz, Joshua Kye Sasser, Anisha Saxton, Hannah Silvers, Matthew Starke and Hannah Wiley.

Danielle Alyssa Boyd graduated December 13, 2012. Since then, Danielle has been spending a year abroad with a German host family as an au pair. She is taking a German language class there as well as teaching the host family's three children about our culture and language. She also visits the nearby places to learn all she can in her year abroad before returning home to Vance, Ala.

Repton resident Michael A. Claflin graduated high school on May 24. He plans to enter the work force with assistance from the Alabama Vocational and Rehabilitation Department.

Kelsey Ford will enroll in the cosmotology program in Hoover this fall. She lives in Randolph.

Elizabeth Anne Jackson resides in Clanton.

David Kyle Lambert graduated April 6, which coincided with his Black Belt test for Taekwondo. Once completed he will take the ASVAB for a possible future in the Air Force. David is a resident of Millbrook.


Graduating on May 7, Austin Lee has earned a four-year academic scholarship to Jacksonville State University. He has also supported the community with his efforts as a member of the local volunteer fire department. Austin lives in Ohatchee.

Phenix City resident William Lewandowski is pursuing a BA in Information Technology Security. Tentatively he plans admission to Columbus State University in Georgia. He is an avid skateboarder and continues to be a positive role model, despite the negative stigmas associated with the sport.

Kyle Mercer of Enterprise will be taking his place in the family logging company as a management trainee. He will enroll in Northwest Florida Community College in the fall majoring in small business management.

Montgomery resident Samantha J. Merritt graduated on May 19. She has applied to Alabama State University.

Jason Murphy officially graduated on May 24. He is currently applying to the University of Montevallo and Troy University at Montgomery with the intention of majoring in psychology. Jason lives in Montgomery.

Nicholas Oldham of Pell City plans to work after graduation and possibly start with a few college classes in the spring. He is interested in the field of engineering.

Moody resident Sarah Perz will graduate in June.

Joshua Kye Sasser plans to work in his father's business of timber-harvesting and logging and hopes to assume ownership of the operation in the future. Joshua is a resident of Luverne.

Anisha Saxton will graduate July 31. She intends to attend Troy University and major in English. She lives in Montgomery.

Prattville resident Hannah Silvers graduated on May 11 at A Beka Academy in Pensacola. She is currently writing her second mystery novel. She also writes songs and poetry. Her desire is to be a Christian mystery author, so she is getting contacts and information on how to get an agent and get her work published. Hannah may take college classes in the future, but as of right now she is focusing on teaching Sunday School at her church in Millbrook, leading two children's choirs and getting her work out.

Matthew Starke is a resident of Montgomery. 

hannahwileyHannah Wiley is pictured left with her family as she signs to play soccer for the LaGrange College Panthers for Fall 2013. She has received academic and athletic scholarships to attend LaGrange College in Georgia. Hannah plans to study exercise science and physical therapy.
